Note: This is a technical overview of how CointiPlay works, if you are looking for general instructions and answers to frequently asked questions, please see these articles: How to Play the CointiPlay Multiplier and CointiPlay Tips & FAQ.

The CointiPlay Multiplier employs a provably fair system for generating each win or lose result. In this game, Cointiply maintains a house edge of approximately 3.75% on the first two levels of the game. We pay out 0.25% of every bet made for referrals, bringing our effective house edge down to roughly 3.5%.

Each CointiPlay round has up to 11 levels. You have a 68.7% chance of winning Level 1, after Level 1 you have a 66.7% chance (2 in 3) of winning each level. Each level features an increased multiplier, all the way up to 61.3x your initial bet. You can stop at any level you like and take your win. When you click or tap each "target," behind the scenes a random number is being generated from 0 to 99,999. Each level has a target zone (a minimum and maximum number) that is considered the winning zone. The number is not determined until you click or tap.

For example, on Level 1 any number from 0 to 68,764 is considered a winning number. The multiplier on Level 1 is 1.4x your bet. This means you have a 68.7% chance to win 1.4x your bet on Level 1.

## Provably Fair

### Fairness

CointiPlay offers industry standard verification which allows our users to check the integrity of every roll and confirm they are not manipulated. Our random numbers are generated through the use of two seeds, a server seed, and your client seed. The server seed is created before you specify your client seed, ensuring that a server seed purposely in our favour cannot be generated. Together, along with the nonce (# of bets made with seed pair), the seeds are used to create a provably fair roll number within the 0 to 99,999 range.

### Client Seeds

Every roll uses both a server seed and a client seed to generate the random roll number. You can update your client seed at any time by clicking on the Settings icon in the main CointiPlay menu. We release the server seed at the end of every day (UTC), which can then be used to verify your results. Every time you change the client seed your nonce will reset to 1. You can find the server seed by clicking on your CointiPlay history, and opening the details of a given round.

### Roll Numbers

To create a roll number, CointiPlay uses a multi-step process to create a roll number from 0 to 99,999. Both client and server seeds and a nonce are combined with hmac-sha512(server_seed, client_seed-nonce) which will generate a hex string. The nonce is the # of bets you made with the current seed pair.

The first five characters are taken from the hex string to create a roll number that is 0-1,048,575. If the roll number is over 999,999, the process is repeated with the next five characters skipping the previous set. This is done until a number less than 1,000,000 is achieved. In the astronomically unlikely event that all possible 5 character combinations are greater, 999,999 is used as the roll number. The resulting number 0 - 999,999 is applied a modulus of 10^5, to obtain a roll number from 0-99,999.

### How to Verify

You can use a third party tool to verify roll numbers. CointiPlay uses a standard process for generating each roll so most third party verifiers can easily work with the client seed and hash provided by CointiPlay.

You can use this tool to verify your results: https://dicesites.com/primedice/verifier

Please keep in mind that most verifiers drop one digit as they are setup to work with dice sites that only produce numbers from 0 to 99.99. The verifier will still verify the last 4 digits of each roll however, which is more then enough to prove the fairness. Please contact dicesites.com and ask them to add Cointiply to their list if you would like to see the full results in the future.
